You may find they have a dry nose, are hot, looking weak, watery eyes, pale gums and lips, foul breath, coughing, irritated skin or a dry coat they are constantly shedding.

Another symptom of dog worms is the dog having a excessive appetite where the dog will eat anything, even dirt. Some days they may be like this and other days they wont have an appetite and not want to eat at all. Sleep patterns are also disturbed by dreaming and tummy rumblings. The urine may be brightly colored and they maybe pee’ing much more than usual, have irregular bowel movements and maybe even vomiting a watery type mucus.

When you have dog worms in a puppy they become bloated and have a pot belly. Their stomachs can grow to much larger than they should given the amount of food they have eaten. Their skin can become rough in places and they wont grow as quickly as a normal healthy puppy. These infected puppies are also reluctant to play and prefer to coil up and sleep for hours on end. If the dog worms remain untreated they get thinner, more lifeless and weaken day by day and will just waste away and die in pain. Dog worms are terrible and leave the dog living a miserable unhappy life. If your dog is displaying these symptoms get them to a vetrinarian’s and get them treated immediately.
